My first time in Nepal

Landing in Kathmandu for the first time felt like stepping into another world—a whirlwind of colorful prayer flags, ancient stupas, and unforgettable mountain hospitality.

Landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for the very first time was a sensation I will never forget. As I stepped off the plane, the crisp air carried a faint scent of burning incense and spices. Driving through the vibrant, bustling streets of Thamel, surrounded by colorful prayer flags fluttering in the breeze and ancient carved wooden doorways, I felt an immediate sense of wonder. The energy of the city was contagious, yet beneath the noise lay an enduring atmosphere of peace and deep tradition.

Over the next few days, my trip transformed from a simple holiday into a life-changing adventure. From watching the sunrise light up the golden eyes of Boudhanath Stupa to embarking on my very first day-hike toward the foothills of the Himalayas, every encounter was shaped by the warmth of the Nepalese people. Their famous greeting—”Namaste”—was delivered with genuine smiles that made me feel right at home. Nepal didn’t just meet my expectations; it captured a piece of my heart forever.
